New start at HydroService

On 28 May 2014, the takeover of HydroService GmbH based in Kamen (NRW, Germany) by Watz Hydraulik GmbH was completed.

Both companies are specialised on hydraulic drive technology and are set to complement their product ranges with the takeover. Together they are planning to significantly expand their market shares.

HydroService employs around 70 staff and is focussed on the development and manufacture of project-related and special cylinders up to 1,200 mm in diameter and 10 m in length. The cylinders are used in press construction and mining, in steel and aluminium plants and in plant and mechanical engineering. The uses are varied.

Watz Hydraulik has developed and manufactured hydraulic drive systems for more than 40 years. At its Central Hesse location in Lollar, individual solutions and standard products are developed and produced for all areas of drive technology and controller systems. The products are used world-wide and, if needed, are assembled and commissioned on-site.

The companies belonging to the Watz Group are Watz Hydraulik GmbH, Faudi GmbH (based in Stadtallendorf), and HydroService Zylinderbau GmbH. Together approximately 250 staff are employed. Together they benefit from the diverse expertise of their staff and possibilities for joint production. The companies are investing in their respective regions and take responsibility for the economical development in their locations.
